General Movement for Rural Education and Environment (GREEN) which is entering its 35th year by 2023-2024 and has made significant achievements in the development of the rural poor in the past one year. We are working for the economic and livelihood development of the people in and around Theni district of South Tamil Nadu, India by exploring all possible avenues for the improvement of education, health and environment.
Since its inception in 1989, our green organization has focused on promoting the public participation of the poor and marginalized in development and social transformation and many other such activities.
Ensuring the survival of grassroots micro-enterprises is an immediate challenge for the sector today. However, with great effort, we have been able to mobilize GREEN funds to execute the work of all programs and activities in 2023-2024, and we have mainly focused on the development of vulnerable farmers, women, children and youth through environmental awareness and education/Sustainable promotion initiatives.
To achieve this, we have conducted a range of programs and project initiatives in 2023-2024 that have made positive changes in the lives of the working community. I have now expressed our sincere gratitude to all our project partners and members. The team members, employees, well-wishers, financial institutions, Govt officials and friends have continuously impacted our welfare services by supporting us immensely and providing timely guidance to continue our service programs in 2023-2024.
